Osada Culinary Matcha is a versatile blend that is suitable for lattes and other matcha based beverages and even makes a fine bowl of usucha. With an easy to make microfoam and a deep green color, this matcha is creamy with a light astringency and a pleasant “green” flavor without marine or mineral notes. As a latte, we noticed a slight lime peel quality underlying the sweet creamy flavor that helps maintain the persistence of the “matcha flavor” even with milk. Adding sweetener brings out some cocoa and chocolate notes and makes the matcha a bit on the addictive side.
